“Lack of Funding Deprived the Students of a Valuable Learning Experience.”

Our students this year were really excited to have the opportunity to perform a dissection for their biology class. I was planning on ordering a full kit because our school had never had a dissection before. It would be the first one ever! I did my research, found a board approved supplier, and made a spreadsheet of all the things that needed to be bought.

Everything was ready. Or so I thought. Due to a lack of funding, we were ultimately unable to purchase the preserved specimens and tools (scalpels, wax trays, pins, etc.) required. The lack of funding deprived the students of a valuable learning experience that they were really looking forward to. With more funding, schools could better provide students with engaging and memorable classes, increasing student academic success.
