“There Is Something Wrong With the School Bus System.”

There is something wrong with the school bus system. The number of times the bus company has called our house informing us that the morning bus would be late picking up my kids is too many to count. How many hours of lost instruction has resulted from cuts to transportation-related education funding?

In my school, these cuts are made visible every day, as students with special needs that are eligible for bussing lose 20 minutes of instruction everyday. Over the course of a school year, thats over 3 days of institutionalized, intentional learning loss. Unacceptable! Ontario kids deserve better from their government.
