“Everybody is Suffering From the Lack of Funding and Resources.”
Consistency is one of the most important things a school can offer students. When positions are not secure and families are continually seeing new faces it creates a sense of disruption and mistrust.
This is what we have faced, for more than half a decade the clerical position at my school has been subject to surpluses and transfers every year. Each time the contract is secured and someone stable is onboarded, they are removed from the school through the Board's staffing process and we start all over again- the parent community loses confidence in the school office and an immense responsibility is placed on the head cleric to fulfill duties of both desks, all while training and overseeing every aspect of school management.
Schools cannot be successfully run without qualified and confident support staff, everybody is suffering from the lack of funding and resources. If nothing is done, the problem will most certainly become exponentially worse.
